Introducing the Xenium Freework mechanism, designed for seamless multi-directional movement while seated. This innovative system responds to your body's motor functions, allowing you to adjust direction and flow simply by shifting your weight. For added control, you can choose to semi-lock off the resistance, tailoring experience to your comfort. With weight tension adjustments, the Xenium Freework is suitable for users ranging from 45 to 110 kg, ensuring personalised fit for everyone.

With busy days and workload, we perhaps don't realise quite how much our posture changes throughout the day, simple tasks such as turning to talk to a colleague, bending to access a pedestal drawer, slouching sideways when on the telephone. Each of these daily postural changes twists the spine and puts strain on our muscles.
A conventional chair will not offer you sufficient back support or adjust dynamically to your movements.
Xenium FreeWork® is designed to be completely dynamic in its adjustment, flowing and following your movements as you make them.

Martin Ballendat
Martin Ballendat has been a successful designer for 25 years now. Since 1995 he has been running his own design studio in Upper Austria. He has also opened his second studio in Germany. He has been working for famous brands from over 10 countries. His projects have been internationally acclaimed – in his career, he has been given more than 100 awards, including 17 Red Dot awards.
Workout while seated
FreeWork is the registered name of the mechanism that we use on the Xenium FreeWork® chairs. The mechanism has up to +10° of lateral movement both to the left and to the right. When you are sitting on it, it means that as you make adjustments to you posture throughout your day, the chair's dynamic movement follows the changes as you make them. As the movement is controlled by your core muscles, it acts like a workout in your chair!
